When we think of fishing, we can picture long hours in the glaring sun simply waiting for a fish to nibble on the bait when we can finally reel it back in and hopefully catch the fish.
For those who enjoy fishing, this process may not seem too bad but for non-fishers, it could feel like the longest wait of your life.
A TikTok video of a boy going fishing and how long he had to wait recently went viral. In the video which was assumingly shot by his dad, the boy exploded into a tantrum after complaining about how long he has had to wait for them to catch a fish.
The video started off with the boy tearing up in rage which he then exploded into by yelling out his frustrations. The dad who was recording the video could then be heard asking the boy to calm down and that the fish will take the bait soon.
The boy then tearfully said, “The fish doesn’t want to take the bait. The bait is smelly and it’ll end up going for someone else’s bait. I’m so frustrated. I’ve been waiting for so long.”
“I’m so frustrated. It doesn’t want to take the bait at all.”
The dad then tried to comfort the boy by saying that the other fishermen have also not captured any fish.
However, it did not seem to work as the boy continued to vent his frustrations.
The caption of the video read, “Wanted to follow me fishing but when we didn’t get anything, he was frustrated. Today’s fishing session was extra tiring.”
The video has since gone viral on TikTok and currently sits on over 651,900 views. Netizens were amused with the boy’s frustration.
“That’s only a fish… wait till you feel the pain of getting friendzoned by your crush.”
“Be patient… if you want it quick can go fishing at the market,” said another user.
One user commented. “How are you going to catch a fish if you’re screaming like that. When you scream like that, even the fish will get a headache.”
Meanwhile, users praised the dad for being so patient and handling it so well and said that the boy was lucky for that.
“Your dad is so patient. If it was my dad I would have been swimming in the water already. Might even be made as bait for the fish.”
“I wouldn’t have ever spoken like that to my dad. No matter how frustrated I was, I’d just keep it inside,” said another user.
