A brave dog was injured after fighting and scaring off 2 robbers at a car workshop in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

According to a report by Kwong Wah, this incident took place last Monday (February 24) at about 1am at a car repair shop, where 2 armed thieves assumed they would have an easy robbery.

The dog, which was raised by the workshop owner, noticed the thieves and started barking aggressively. This alarmed a fruit stall owner next to the workshop, who witnessed the dog fighting against the machete-wielding robbers.

Having fought resiliently and even taking a machete blow to the head, the dog successfully scared off the robbers and saved the workshop from any losses.

The dog required intensive care after the incident

However, the dog sustained a huge gash on its head, causing it to bleed profusely.

Upon hearing the news of the brave dog, a dog shelter sent representatives to accompany the workshop owner to send the furry hero to an animal clinic for treatment.

Thankfully, the injured dog is said to be slowly recovering after a week of intensive treatment and has been sent home to its owner for further care. The shelter also bore more than RM2,000 in medical expenses for the dog.
