Sometimes, we come across alcohol that is so dirt cheap that you often wonder how on earth do these people profit from selling the booze. It can even be cheaper than soft drinks!

But recently, a few viral video clips that were making their rounds on social media have helped shed some light on this affordable alcohol mystery.

The three video clips depict an underground factory in Dongguan, China producing fake cans of Budweiser beer in very unhygienic ways. A worker can be seen throwing out the recycled cans from a box to a container of liquid while several female workers are filling the empty cans with the questionable liquid to be sent to the conveyor belt. All of these are done using their bare hands!

The conveyor belt in the next clip is seen to be canning those filled cans that are to be sent out for consumption by unsuspecting customers! Yuck!

Luckily, the next clip shows the Trade and Industry Bureau task force-busting the illegal factory on May 5th.

Shanghaiist reports that this bootlegged factory can produce approximately 600,000 cartons of fake booze a month! However, it was not reported how long this little operation has been going on. So if you were in China recently and felt like there was something off about your alcohol, well, now you know!

The crates of fake Budweiser were then distributed to local bars and nightclubs for consumption. Budweiser is the third largest beer brand in China, with a total of 14 breweries located in the country itself. According to Mashable, Budweiser has caught wind of these unlawful beer producers and they will be taking legal action against this matter. We really hope they did not ship it to other countries.

Hopefully, no one got sick from drinking the fake alcohol!
