Recently, an underprivileged couple went viral after the husband was spotted pushing his wife in her wheelchair through traffic on Jalan Bagan Luar, Penang.

Many felt bad for the couple’s situation, especially considering they had a small child with them.

Thankfully, Ustaz Ebit Lew has stepped in to help provide the couple with a more comfortable and safe form of transportation, a car! He took to his Facebook page to showcase his gift.

He wrote, “Crying from gratefulness after gifting a Proton Saga BLM to the husband who went viral for pushing his wife with a wheelchair at the Bagan Dalam, Penang, traffic light. This husband and wife duo have OKU cards. It’s so sad to see them and the challenges they have to face.”

Upon hearing of the couple, Ustaz Ebit Lew had traveled to Penang from Terengganu, where he was gifting a car to someone else!

“Yesterday from Terengganu, straight to Penang. Yesterday I gifted a Perodua Bezza, today it is a Proton Saga BLM,”

“This sister was crying tears of happiness. She recognised me. She was shocked and didn’t expect things to come to this. She was shocked that within an hour, she got a new car,” he added.

We’re so happy that the couple can finally commute without having the husband having to push his wife in her wheelchair, along with their children, through risky traffic and unpredictable weather.

Kudos, Ustaz Ebit Lew, for helping the couple!
