When a man loves his family, he will be willing to do anything to provide for them and to keep them safe and fed.

An underprivileged Malaysian man, for the sake of making sure his children don’t go hungry, decided to walk an estimated 16km, from Beranang to Kajang, in order to get food for them.

The Info Semasa Facebook page shared this story from a Nasi Kukus vendor, Nasi Kukus Kak Chiq, after the man had approached them to ask for food donations.

They wrote, “Yesterday, this brother WhatsApped us to ask if we had leftover dishes from Nasi Kukus Kak Shiq to provide for his 3 children. But, yesterday, we closed at 4pm. We told him to come today instead.”

“So he came this morning, from Beranang to Taman Jasmin, Kajang. He left early, at 7am. We were sitting and wondering why he was coming so early, it turns out that he was walking, guys. When he reached, his shirt was fully drenched in sweat.”

A quick check on Google Maps reveals that to walk from Beranang to Taman Jasmin in Kajang would like almost 4 hours!

It turns out that the man had lost his source of income after his motorcycle had broken down.

Walk 2 1

“It’ll only be repaired by next week. But, in his wait (for his motorcycle), he doesn’t have any money to continue on with his life with his wife and kids,”

“So, we decided to give him some necessities while his motorcycle gets repaired and he can start work again. To send him home, he ordered him a Grab, we couldn’t allow him to walk all the way home again. May this brother’s burdens be eased,” they added.

We’re so grateful to the Nasi Kukus vendor for being such amazing people in helping the man. We too hope that he manages to get back on his feet (not to walk but you know, to work and earn a living for his family).
