Following all the turmoil in regards to the proper way to display the Malaysian flag, especially among UMNO and DAP politicians, another incident has come up.
The Terengganu state UMNO Youth Division is currently under fire for posting an image with an incorrect Jalur Gemilang illustration.

The image of the Jalur Gemilang after the correction.
Their post read, “UMNO Youth Terengganu is very disappointed and angered by the barbaric act of hoisting the Jalur Gemilang upside down and also the cruel act of bullying sister Zara Qairina to death. These 2 tragedies have burned the hearts of Malaysians because these acts are cruel, rude and heartless.”
“UMNO Youth Terengganu will not remain silent. We urge the government and the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice with the harshest punishment. Our flag is not insult material; our children should not be the victims of injustice! Let the harshest punishment be a lesson so that this matter does not happen again in the future.”
The edit

Ironically, eagle-eyed Malaysians spotted a mistake in the Jalur Gemilang image UMNO Youth Terengganu used in their post, that there were 12 stripes instead of 14 stripes.
After Malaysians took to the comment section to call them out for the mistake, they edited the post to replace the image with one that has a corrected Jalur Gemilang. However, many had already taken screenshots of the original image.Â

“YB Akmal Saleh, can you go to the designer’s house and teach them to illustrate the Malaysian flag?”

“We, Malaysians, are also very disappointed and angered with this rude act of using the wrong Jalur Gemilang in this posting. Don’t delete the post, yeah? Screenshots have been taken!”

“Before and after the correction.”

“Did your head not conduct a class to teach how to illustrate before posting? Don’t turn your head, YB Dr Akmal Saleh, into an embarrassment, aiyo. ‘Don’t act first, then apologise‘. It turns out that this sentence means, ‘There’s no need to apologise, just quietly correct it‘. Now I understand.”
This comes after UMNO Youth Chief Dr. Akmal Saleh shared that he wanted to visit a Penang hardware store owner after the latter had hoisted a Jalur Gemilang upside down, to teach him how to display the Jalur Gemilang properly.
He has also been very vocal against those who display the Jalur Gemilang wrongly.
