Have you ever looked up at the night sky and wonder what else is out there besides the stars and the planets? If you think this is about aliens, it’s not.
It looks like the answer to that question is satellites. Lots and lots of satellites.
United Kingdom (UK) based photographer, Wil Photography, took to his Facebook page to showcase an image he took of the night sky. Hoping to capture shooting stars, he was instead surprised with an image that shows over 30 satellites.
He wrote, “Last week, I wanted to photograph a shooting star. Instead, I caught more than 30 satellites in 1 single photo. When I shared this photo last week, a good friend asked me why I didn’t remove the satellites in the image, I told him this is how it is now and it’s going to get worse.”
Wil Photography went on to explain that, along with Elon Musk’s current 4,000 Starlink internet satellites, the tech giant plans to launch more.
“There’s nothing we can do about it. Last year, I took a photo and was shocked to see 6 (satellites). In the future, could it be hundreds in 1 photo?” he asked.
What makes this worse is that China is allegedly planning on launching around 13,000 satellites of their own in an effort to compete with Elon Musk’s Starlink.
