Two goats ended up stranded on the roof of a house in Kampung Padang Lalang, Ayer Paabas, Melaka.
News reports stated that Alor Gajah Civil Defence Force (APM) officers eventually rescued them.
“The goats climbed a bit too high, but the APM officers safely brought them down,” said the homeowner, Rokiah Salim, when contacted.

The 60-year-old rojak seller mentioned that she never expected the loud noises from her roof to be caused by two male goats.
“I was tidying up my house at 9:45 am when I heard a loud noise, as if something was moving on the roof.”
“Initially, I thought it was monkeys and never imagined that goats could climb so high and stay there for a few days,” she said, adding that she immediately contacted the Alor Gajah APM for help.
She also suspects that the goats came from the neighbouring village of Kampung Rantau, as no one in her village owned any goats.

“I’m not sure when the goats climbed up onto the roof but I noticed some goats grazing near my house over the past couple of days. Even after being chased away, they kept coming back,” she explained.
Furthermore, Alor Gajah APM Officer Kapt (PA) Shahrulnizam Mad Shah said that five APM personnel were dispatched to the scene upon receiving the complaint on Friday (Feb 28).
He said they took about 30 minutes to rescue the goats using a snare and rope.
“We suspect the goats climbed up from the zinc awning of the house behind, which is close to the ground. Our team took a bit of time as the goats were wild and difficult to approach.”
“We also had to be careful to avoid damaging the roof,” he added.
