When a business makes a mistake, often times they would have to either fix it or compensate the customer for their error.

Unfortunately, not all businesses got that memo.

A tourist, Amakusakiko, took to her XiaoHongShu account to tearfully share how she was kicked off a bus that was going from Penang to Kuala Lumpur because the bus company had overbooked it. Instead of putting her on the next bus or compensating her for her ticket, they left her stranded without a solution. What makes this worse is that the tourist was heading to Kuala Lumpur to catch a flight at KLIA.

She wrote, “Tossing and turning to catch a car to KL, thank you to all the car owners I’ve met.”

“Ps. I recommend that Malaysian buses should not be booked online, KTM should be bought in advance and cross city buses should be booked at least one day before catching a flight.”

Having been stranded in Penang by her bus, she ultimately decided not to wait for a later bus to KL and took a bus to Ipoh instead. From there, she then booked an e-hailing ride to KLIA.

Thankfully, she managed to catch her flight!

It’s so saddening to know that the bus operator forced her out of the bus when she had already bought a ticket, due to their own negligence of overbooking it.

You can check out her video here.
