A tourist from South Korea has made a plea to anyone who is willing to dive into the waters of Sabah to find their lost phone and has offered a reward of RM3,000.
A local veterinarian, Randolf Paza, took to his Facebook page to help share their plea.

“Hi, I’m Yeeun from South Korea. I’m looking for a diver to find my lost phone. I know it’s very unlikely. But there are so many precious pictures. So, I’m trying for the last time,” they said.
The tourist lost their phone on Saturday (July 26) at about 5:15pm, and it is believed to have sunk underwater near Tanjung Aru Beach, where they were participating in water activities for about 10 minutes.
“I think it’s likely to have sunk because I put my phone in a waterproof pack. And, I think the waves are not strong, so there is a high probability that it sank in place,” they explained while adding that the phone was a white Galaxy S23 in a transparent waterproof pack.

They also added that they had returned to Korea without looking for the phone as they believed their pictures were backed up, but this was not the case. Hence, they are hoping someone will be willing to look for the phone for a reward of RM3,000.
Not worth the effort?
Many have since pointed out that it may not be worth searching for the phone, especially considering the presence of crocodiles in the area.

“If this is the case, I’m concerned that whoever looks for the phone will go missing.”
