Regardless of your profession, professionalism is always important as it’s not just about your reputation but the company’s image is also at stake if you behave inappropriately while on duty.
Sabah is 1 of the best spots for diving, and just recently, a tourist from China said that 1 of the diving instructors at a tourist spot kissed her on the cheek without her consent when they were both underwater. On her Douyin account, the tourist revealed that she has since lodged a police report on the matter, hoping the local authorities to take action on the diving instructor so that no one else has to go experience the same thing.
Based on her post, the incident took place on 5 May and soon after they got back to the shore, the diving instructor couldn’t stop asking her out.
“He asked where did I stay, and said he wanted to spend time with me alone. He also admitted that he likes me and wanted to spend the last night with me before I go back, but I was afraid.”
The screenshots of the conversation between the woman and the diving instructor went viral, and it was initially shared in a public Facebook group. In one of the screenshots, the man asked her for help.
“Can you tell others that the underwater kiss happened because you wanted it?”
The woman then told him, “But that’s not the truth”.
In other screenshots, the man tried hard to convince her to go out with him, and he even rented a car so that they could spend the night. However, the woman told her that she was afraid.
The screenshots were shared in many Facebook groups, including 斗湖の那些事, but not everyone bought the woman’s story. To them, it was mutual consent and some netizens proved their point with a video and another screenshot in the comment section.
In the screenshot of a video below, both parties were seen making a love hand sign together right before the man kissed her on the cheek.
In another conversation, the man asked if she had complained to anyone about the kiss, to which she said no.
“But I like how it felt,” she added.
As of 8 May, Guang Ming Daily reported that PDRM in Semporna, Sabah has arrested the 27-year-old diving instructor, and the matter is currently being investigated.
