By now, many of us have caught up with The Flash movie, which was released in Malaysian cinemas on 15 June. Many have praised the film, citing Michael Keaton’s return as Batman more than 30 years later as the show-stealer, as well as Ezra Miller, who brilliantly plays 2 different versions of the speedster.

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise was among the lucky audience who got to watch the superhero flick earlier than many people way before the theatrical release. Despite the public’s criticism of the visual effects, Tom Cruise had nothing but fond words about the movie. He loved it.

And to make sure the right person got the message, Tom contacted Andy Muschietti, the director of The Flash to rave about the movie, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It was a call out of the blue and it is said that Tom spent 15 minutes saying nothing but good words about The Flash.

Flash 3

“This is the kind of movie we need right now”

Insiders said that Tom believes The Flash has everything you want in a movie, and The Flash is the kind of movie that everyone needs today. Andy’s wife, Barbara said that Tom’s words truly meant a lot because many people worked hard on The Flash.

Tom is also known for many movies that surpassed the expected box-office performance, especially Mission Impossible movie franchise. The latest Mission Impossible, known as Dead Reckoning Part 1 will be released in cinemas in July. Top Gun: Maverick also made USD1.49 billion last year, with many praising it as 1 of the best sequels in Hollywood.

The Flash also features the return of Ben Affleck as Batman, and the film has a myriad of cameo appearances which, if you have watched, it’s best to keep a secret as many are still not caught up with the movie.

To those who have watched The Flash, do you agree with Tom’s take on The Flash? What do you think of the movie?
