A Seoul-themed McDonald’s in Malaysia? Yes, you heard that right!

In conjunction with the “Discover the World” campaign, McDonald’s Malaysia is now bringing its customers to a journey in Korea. A “Seoul Experience” themed McDonald’s restaurant will be introduced to the public with lanterns, wall décor, an outdoor backdrop and McDonald’s crew all dressed up in Korean traditional outfits!

This “little Seoul” is located at McDonald’s Putrajaya Drive-Thru restaurant and the experience is available to the public starting 21st July until 12th August 2020.

Additionally, McDonald’s Malaysia is bringing back the Spicy Korean Burger which has been a hit ever since it was introduced in 2017. Along with that, customers can also enjoy the new Black Forest Pie and Black Forest McFlurry. These items are available in all McDonald’s outlets nationwide.

“Over the years, our ‘Discover the World’ campaign has always been about offering our customers the chance to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of different places around the world. This annual campaign has been a great platform for us to showcase our commitment in providing a wide variety of distinct and tasty menu items for Malaysians,” said Melati Abdul Hai, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, McDonald’s Malaysia in a press statement.

Melati also added that they want to fulfil customers’ yearning for travel and transport them to their favourite destinations through the food. “That is what we aim to achieve by bringing ‘Seoul’ to our Putrajaya restaurant – a true Korean experience right here in Malaysia,” said Melati.

McDonald’s Malaysia has also introduced the #McDaebak TikTok Challenge to make the whole campaign more fun. Malaysians can now stand a chance to win McDonald’s cash vouchers by participating in the TikTok challenge.

All you have to do is just record a video of you taking a bite of the Spicy Korean Burger and show the “Daebak” (awesome) transformation version of you to the song “Clap” on TikTok. Participants with a valid entry are also entitled to a 30% discount on their next Spicy Korean Burger purchase.

This #McDaebak Challenge on TikTok will go on until 2nd August. If you want more information, check out McDonald’s Malaysia’s official website.

What are you waiting for? Jom grab some Spicy Korean Burger at this little Seoul McDonald’s this weekend!
