Elia Nurul or @Eyayasya faced the most daunting test of her life when she lost her leg as a result of a freak motorcycle accident.
But instead of wallowing in self-pity, Elia became grateful for the chance to continue her journey in life, albeit differently from before.

Telling her story via her IG story, Elia spoke of what she had to go through on the 21st of September 2018.

“This is the first picture of my leg after the accident. I have learnt to accept my fate. I can no longer shed tears.”
“On the evening of the accident, they had to operate and amputate my leg up to my thighs.”
She also joked that should any of her friends want to frequent the mall, they should invite her as it will be easier to park.

Reminiscing of her accident, Elia writes, “I hit a pole that caused me to be thrown some 2 metres away. My leg was severed and remained at the motorcycle.”
“I guess my leg thought that the inertia of the crash was too much that it decided to stay put”, she jokes.
“In the end, I noticed that my leg is no longer there.”

She shared that today was her fifth day at the hospital and she has already begun physiotherapy.
“After the accident, I thought to myself that there is more I need to do. Before this, I’ve always felt down all the time, feeling that everything was wrong. Now I thank God for giving me a chance to complete all that I need to do.”
