There are many, many of us who have yet to strike Japan from our travel bucket-list, and sadly, with Covid-19 still around, we might not be able see the Land of the Rising Sun anytime soon.
Though, thankfully, there is a local substitute that you can visit!
According to Bernama, the Selangor-Japan Friendship Garden is now open to the public, in hopes of becoming a new landmark in Shah Alam, Selangor.
Located right next to the Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam, this gorgeous garden was built at a cost of RM3.8 million.
Shah Alam Mayor, Datuk Haris Kasim shared that the garden is an expression of appreciation of Japan, for being one of Selangor’s long time and loyal investor.
“We hope this garden will become a new focal point for tourists, especially from Japan and local visitors to check out the elements related to Selangor,” he said.
Now a new attraction at the Taman Tasik Shah Alam in Section 14, the Selangor-Japan Friendship Garden is now open to the public from 10am to 7pm.
So, what are you waiting for? A trip to Japan is only a short drive away.
