Many of us could only dream of studying overseas.

But now, this dream has become more achievable.

AbroadAssist is an application portal for local and overseas universities, which boosts assistance for Malaysian students to study in Germany, sans tuition fees!

They shared with WORLD OF BUZZ that they received an overwhelming number of student applications this year.

“Since the outbreak of Covid-19, the number of students that are applying to study in Germany has tripled. Since education in Germany is free, students and parents do not have to pay tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands for university tuition fees,” they said.

Apparently, most German public universities have no tuition fees and only require students to pay a minimal administration fee of RM500 to RM1,000 per semester, which often includes a semester ticket that enables students to use public transport to travel within the state.

“When we first launched programs to student in Germany back in 2017, most Malaysians were surprised that most German universities do not charge tuition fees. A majority of Malaysians are not aware that there are countries that are offering free education to international students,” said Riza Amir, the Managing Director of AbroadAssist.

“One of the reasons why Germany is offering free education to internationals is due to its depleting workforce that is slowly entering retirement. By providing free education to internationals, Germany hopes to attract internationals to join the German workforce and boost its robust economy after completing their studies.”

Riza himself was once a Malaysian student who did the entirety of his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Germany, without paying any tuition fees!

He is now based there and hopes that with AbroadAssist, he can offer similar opportunities to Malaysian students by providing access to programs that have no tuition fees and are fully taught in English.

So, what are you waiting for? Been yearning to study abroad but have always worried about the potential fees?

Worry no more and check out AbroadAssist!
