Kuala Lumpur, Klang and Petaling, Gombak and Kuala Langat are among the 290 areas in Klang Valley that will experience water disruption from the 14th-17th July.
According to a statement released by Air Selangor, “At 9.00 am on 14th July 2020, the Sungai Selangor Phase 3 Water Treatment Plant (SSP3 WTP) will be temporarily shut down. As a result of this, 290 areas in Petaling, Klang, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Langat regions will experience a temporary disruption in water supply.”
Here are the affected areas as specified by Air Selangor:

While water distribution is expected to resume by 9.00 am on 15th July, priority will be given to critical premises such as hospitals and dialysis centres before it is distributed to other areas. However, water supply is expected to fully return to all areas on 17th July.
“We, therefore, urge customers in the affected area to store some water prior to the commencement of the scheduled water disruption and consume water prudently during this period.”
To ensure that all residents still have access to water supply, Air Selangor will make eight Pusat Khidmat Setempat (PKS) and six Public Water Taps for residential customers that need water before the normal water supply returns. Nonetheless, commercial customers will be able to purchase water at two water filling stations using their respective water tankers.
Remember to use water conservatively!
