For those who may not know, Death Note is a manga series well-known by anime fans all around the world.

It revolves around a Japanese high school student who comes into possession of a mystical notebook, where he finds that he has the power to kill anybody whose name he enters in it.

So, what does it mean when someone gets a politician to sign their name in the ‘Death Note’ book? That’s exactly what happened in Thailand, where rx25z managed to trick the Thai Prime Minister, Prayuth Chan-ocha, into doing exactly that.

Death Note 2

He wrote, “I heard that uncle came to town. #OhcanIhaveanautograph.”

In the video, Thai PM Prayuth Chan-ocha, who was in Pattani city for his Thai United Nation Party, could be seen signing his name in a notebook held by the prankster. Just as he was done, the prankster closed the book, revealing that it was a ‘Death Note’ notebook as written on the front.

Death Note 3

Thankfully, the notebook is only a replica and not the real deal.
