This is NOT a drill. Legendary Malaysian singer, Dato’ M. Nasir has taken over billboards on some major highways in Klang Valley.

For more than a decade now, the veteran singer has NEVER missed gracing the radio with his evergreen Raya song, Satu Hari Di Hari Raya, every Ramadan and Eid. Malaysians who grew up listening to his songs will understand the nostalgia of growing up with his voice across the media, not just during the festive season.

This year, Malaysians are getting more than just his famous Raya song.

M. Nasir (and we promise you the real M. Nasir, not AI-generated) has been featured on billboards on major highways, and it’s not always that Malaysians get to see their favourite singer “greeting” everyone on the road with his choice of coffee — Wonda coffee.

Just like the man himself, the Wonda coffee ad is cheeky and smart!

The billboard’s message? To share what coffee the Malaysian music legend favours.

“Kopi Wonda Kegemaran M. Nasir (M. Nasir’s favourite Wonda coffee).”

“The real choice of Malaysian music legend.”

But it’s not just about what M. Nasir’s favourite coffee is — the Wonda coffee ad is also a brilliant little tease for another surprise that M. Nasir has in store for Malaysians: his highly anticipated Cipta 3 Concert, which will excite fans later this year. With his Cipta Raya Concert concluded on April 13 at Zepp KL, we are certainly eager to see how M. Nasir will continue to amaze Malaysians in his upcoming show!

In case you need a little hint of what Cipta Raya was like, here’s where you can catch a glimpse of the show.

Quite effective ah, how Wonda keeps it simple with their ad — just let M. Nasir’s handsome features take centre stage and *snap fingers* Malaysians are hooked (not to mention we quietly want to sip on a can of Wonda coffee after).

Combine M. Nasir’s natural charisma with proper timing, well-planned visibility and a consistent brand voice, and Wonda managed to pull off a creative ad that’s bound to hit Malaysians right on the feels.

It makes you want to pick up a can of Wonda coffee, especially when you share the same awesome taste in coffee as the Malaysian music legend.

It’s a little reminder of how a simple (but sharp) idea can speak for itself. Yes, we promise you (once again), this is the real M. Nasir with his signature and charming smile all coming in one display!

In case you haven’t caught a glimpse of Wonda’s witty ad on major highways, we’ll drop you a hint on where else you can spot M. Nasir giving you an approval nod for his favourite coffee.

  • Old Klang Road
  • Jalan Syed Putra, headed to Mid Valley

Wonder no more, Malaysians! Pick yourself a Wonda while we (patiently) wait for his upcoming Cipta 3 Concert later this year.
