Lice are usually spread from child to child when sharing clothing, hats, scarves, combs, brushes, hair trims or helmets that have strands of hair with nits. Lice can also be passed when playing contact sports.
Taking the initiative to educate Orang Asli kids at their school on the importance of hygiene and general well-being, this group of teachers shared their activity of teaching kids how to get rid of lice from their hair.
With the caption, “Hygiene is important.”, these teachers share a side of their work which is rarely seen by the public.
As a means to show that their dedication toward their students goes beyond the classroom, this teacher writes, “There are those who criticise and there are those who applaud us.”
“Our duty is more than just teaching them in the classroom, but treating them as if they are our own. This is a story of kids who live out here in the jungle. We do things as we see fit.”
Netizens, naturally, commended the teachers for a job well done in educating these kids with some even sharing their own stories of going above and beyond in their line of duty.

Let’s hope that stories like this will inspire others to do the same. To exceed expectations in their line of work.
