A Malaysian reporter tragically lost his life while he was headed home after covering the severe floods in Hatyai in Thailand’s Songkhla Province.

Before his demise, Asri had the opportunity to send one last voice note to his wife via WhatsApp.
“I love you all. Please take good care of yourselves,” were Asri’s last words to his wife.
Norhanani Ahmad, Asri’s wife, said that she was shocked by the news of the death of her husband. She added that her late husband had a history of heart disease.
She suspected that her husband might have suffered from a heart attack due to fatigue after covering the news about the flood in Hatyai.
Asri was worried about the flood at home, too
According to Norhanani, Asri’s car was stuck in the flood, and the vehicle could not be started. He disembarked from his car to push the vehicle but collapsed in the process.
Norhanani said that Asri had mentioned going back to their house in Perlis, as he was concerned about the possible flood at his house, as reported by Astro Awani.

The late Mohamad Asri had worked as a journalist at Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and the Malaysian National News Agency (BERNAMA) before becoming Astro Awani’s correspondent in Perlis.
Asri left behind his wife and six children, the youngest of whom is 11 years old.
WORLD OF BUZZ would like to express our condolences to Asri’s family, and may the Almighty bless his soul.
