As former Prime Minister Najib Razak stays in prison, the “last piece” of the puzzle for the 1MDB trial remains at large. At the time of writing, the manhunt for Jho Low continues, with most of the evidence pointing out that the businessman is in hiding in China.

In an interview with the author of billion-dollar whale, Tom Wright, Syed Saddiq made it clear that it’s high time to hunt for the billion-dollar whale himself – Jho Low.

With the trial of 1MDB ongoing, it is important for the billionaire to be located and caught as his presence could unravel various cases of embezzlement involving national assets reaching billions of ringgit.

“The issue is considered a serious matter considering that it is also related to the increase in the amount of national debt,” Saddiq added.

In the meantime, the co-founder of MUDA also said that while all roads lead to Rome, it’s all evidence that leads to China for Jho Low.

Over the past years, rumour has it that the billionaire has been hiding in parts of China. As to that rumour, Saddiq had something to say about it.

“The government should demand an explanation from the Republic of China about the status of the businessman who is said to be in the country.”

If Jho Low is indeed in the country, how is he there with his family and friends without the authorities breathing down his neck? No one seems to have an answer for that, so Saddiq said the government of China should provide an answer.

Additionally, an agreement between Malaysia and China could be reached in the pursuit of Jho Low if it is true that he is in that country.

“We have good diplomatic relations with China and are strategic partners in trade.”

Do you think the billion-dollar whale himself is indeed hiding in China?
