Taking to TikTok, this teacher shared a video of how this group of girls worked together to get their friend to class.
I explained that the student’s class was originally on the ground floor and that once a week, they were required to relocate to another class on the top floor. These kids took turns ensuring that their differently abled classmate was given a ‘ride’ up the stairs.
In the video, one girl gives her a piggyback ride up the stairs before another takes over and sprints down the corridor and into class.
Netizens commenting on the TikTok video had this to say.
“When I was in school, we, too, had a differently-abled classmate. We would always get to the ground-floor classroom and near the canteen. We were always the first to arrive during recess.”
“My kid has the same issue. I am forever blessed that the teachers at her school provide her with ground-floor classrooms,” said a user.
On the other hand, some users criticised the school and the teachers for not being aware of their students’ needs.
