Smuggling items across borders is a risky move, even more so if you have hidden the items in your vehicle because upon discovery, your car will pretty much be torn apart.

Here’s an example of that.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore recently took to their TikTok page to showcase a video of a Malaysian-registered vehicles at the Woodlands Checkpoint, being completely torn apart to discover a boxes upon boxes of contraband cigarettes hidden between always every crevice.

They wrote, “I knew you were trouble”. (An homage to a parody of the Taylor Swift song playing in the video.)

In the TikTok, ICA explained that their officers had profiled a Malaysian-registered car for enhanced checks.

“Checks uncovered 222 cartons, 2,170 packets and 31 sticks of duty-unpaid cigarettes hidden in various parts of the car”, they shared.

This includes in the front and back bumpers, under the hood, under the seats in the back as well as inside the car doors.

When they were done, the haul of contraband cigarettes they discovered in the car was truly shocking.
