We usually don’t mind forking out a larger sum of money if we think it’s worth the price. After all, we want the best for ourselves, right?

However, this particular Singaporean man felt that paying SGD8 (RM25.22) for a plate of nasi lemak just wasn’t worth it.

He was at a kopitiam located at Block 353 in Clementi Avenue 2 where he ordered the nasi lemak, All Singapore Stuff reported.

He added 1 hotdog, 1 egg and 1 small fish and curry sauce.

Oooh, looks yummy!

When the stall assistant served the yummilicious meal to the man, she told him that it cost a whopping SGD8 (RM25.22)!

The man was really shocked at the super high price of this dish, as a normal plate of nasi lemak in Singapore would cost about SGD2 to SGD6 (RM6.31 to RM18.92) only.

He told the lady that he did not have enough cash on him, so he will go to the ATM nearby to withdraw cash first.

But of course, the cheapo man ran off because the price was just not worth it in his opinion. Well, at least he didn’t eat it and then ran off…

The man told the media,

“I told her I’ll go get money and zao (run) far far. Who in the right mind would pay 8 bucks for that meal, nabei!

“Funny as hell, I call all my friends faster zao (run) got siao zabor (crazy lady) trying to con me.”

Most netizens who read his story also agreed that this guy’s actions seem pretty justifiable.

They wrote,

“If it were me, I would have ran away too.”

“I might do the same. If I say cancel on the spot, sure kena screwed by the stall.”

What about you guys? Would you actually pay this kind of money for nasi lemak?
