This woman’s ex-fiance cancelled their solemnisation three weeks before it was supposed to happen.
Shasha is a 37-year-old Singaporean woman who tried out an app called Muzmatch which is a Muslim dating app in 2017/2018.
There, she found her now ex-fiance and instantly hit it off with him. She felt like they were compatible and in August 2020, he proposed to her and they got engaged.
However, three weeks before the wedding, Shasha’s ex-fiance cancelled off the solemnisation. As the date was approaching, the ex-fiance and his family did not communicate with Shasha at all. Shasha then “accepted it as reality”, according to an interview she did with Muzmatch.
Instead of grieving and letting all her efforts go to waste, Shasha forged on and did an incredibly empowering and tasteful photoshoot with lightviewsg.
Her story and photoshoot have gone viral with 1.7k shares and have elicited many encouraging words from netizens.
“You are a very courageous woman and the best is yet to come. You only deserve the best!”
“What incredibly amazing strength! So proud of you that you forged on!”
“Shasha, you are an inspiration. Sending you love and light.”
After hearing her story and looking at the photos, we feel thoroughly inspired by Shasha’s strength, resilience and courage. We hope that this story will help those who have been in similar shoes find peace.
