If you’re driving down to KL or Kajang during the weekend, you might want to take note of these roads that will be closing on Saturday (28th December) from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.!

Yesterday, the Kajang Police Department announced that five main roads will be temporarily closed tomorrow in conjunction with a conference that will be held to object the introduction of Jawi in vernacular schools by the Dong Zong educationist group.

These are the roads that will be affected by the road closures:

  • Jalan Kuala Lumpur – Seremban/Jalan Bukit
  • Jalan Changkat
  • Jalan Bukit Indah
  • Jalan Jati
  • Silk Highway (Connecting to Jalan Bukit)

Drivers should take note that the road closures will be divided into two phases, as stated in the Facebook post. The first phase will involve the closure of Jalan Bukit Indah and the road from Jalan Jati and Jalan Bukit. The second phase will involve the closure of roads in stages according to the congestion of surrounding locations.

As all drivers in these affected areas pass these roads, the Kajang Police Department reminds the public that they should cooperate with the traffic police and follow instructions to avoid delaying other drivers on the road.

Road users are also advised to stick to the speed limit and find alternative routes to their destinations this weekend to avoid having their daily activities interrupted by the closure.

Spread the word so other drivers are aware!
