A few days ago (10 December), a Facebook account Nur Farina Binti Abdullah shared a very touching story about two siblings who worked together to seek an honest living.

Kisah Lewat Malam Semalam.Semalam mama ada order makanan dari Bt.Caves dan kalau ikutkan makanan tu akan sampai…

Nur Farina said that she had ordered food from Batu Caves and only expected the food to arrive at 9-10 pm. However, by 12am, the food still had not arrived.

As it was late at night, she asked her husband and son to wait up. The next day, they told her that two riders arrived at their house at 12.30 am.

The riders said they actually weren’t familiar with the area she was living in and got lost on their way while delivering the food.

Nur Farina wrote,

“They said the riders were not very familiar with the Bangi area. The two of them were siblings. Both of them had nasal voices and one of them also had a cleft palate. They worked as a team. One of them carried the motorcycle while another held the delivery bag. The reason why they were late was that their motorcycle tires did not have air and they asked to borrow our pump.”

After hearing about what happened, she decided to revisit the CCTV footage of her house and felt sad and guilty for ordering food from afar.

But she also wrote, if everyone thinks like her, how can the two siblings earn any income?

She said that she was touched to see the persistence of the two siblings who worked together to deliver the food at midnight even though their motorcycle’s tires suddenly ran out of the air.

Through her posting, she said she dislikes people who insult riders because not everyone knows how difficult it is for these riders to earn money and make a living.

Furthermore, she also shared details of the two siblings in case anyone would like to contribute donations to them as they are now raising money on their own to buy a new phone and install Waze for their deliveries.

Donations for the two-riders:
CIMB BANK 7055619186
AMIRUL HAFIZAN BIN ROSLI
WhatsApp Number: 01124053267
Contact Number: 01161773446

The two brothers’ names are Syafiq and Amirul.

We hope that all customers out there will be patient and not easily get upset when their orders are a little late because most of the time, these riders have to experience unavoidable situations.
