Buying a home on its own can be a pretty daunting undertaking to consider, what with all the paperwork to take into account and the amount of money you’ll have to put in just to ensure you and your family can live safely and comfortably. But for one family, money is of no object when it comes to making sure their family gets the best of the best.

As reported by China Press and CNA Luxury, a Singaporean family decided to uproot their entire lives from the island-state and make the move across the Causeway to Johor, where they purchased a 43,000 sqft plot of land to build their new home on top of. If you can’t already tell, that is a huge plot of land.

The home, which was designed by award-winning firm Formwerkz Architects, houses Chris, his wife and their three young children. It was built to ensure that his children had a safe sanctuary, where they could grow up and have fun. The architects behind the design, who are close friends with Chris, said that the home was designed to encourage socialising, with elements taken from the historic Italian House of Faun.

With emphasis on wide open spaces, the 11-bedroom home was designed with different courtyards to help separate the spaces between each part of the home. The nine courtyards that dot the home also serve to bring in plenty of natural light into the house itself.

The ceilings in the home were also unique, in that they were hand-assembled with timbre wood to create a pyramid effect. But by far and wide, it’s the football field and expansive pool that really catches the eye of many who visit the home, given their size.
Well, we certainly have to say a house like that is certainly worth the effort and money that went into building it! We hope that Chris and his family gets to enjoy the benefits of living in such a beautiful home for generations to come!
