Char Kuey Teow is one of the many statement foods we have in Malaysia. The fragrant fried noodles is loved by many. One of the key ingredients that most people look forward to in their Char Koay Teow is “Si Ham” (cockles). Okay, either you hate it, or ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
The juicy and chewy little shellfish complements the local dish so well that we’re always paying extra for more. However, you’d be pleased to know that this food stall in Seremban is extremely generous with their cockles. And they got Malaysians everywhere raving about it!
Rasah Koay Teow Goreng located in Restoran Pin Xiang Lou at Jalan Seng Meng Lee, Seremban recently made waves on social media after enticing photos of their Char Koay Teow went viral. The classic dish was topped fully with cockles that had us drooling.
A normal plate of Char Koay Teow at Rasah’s costs about RM5.50; however, if you want it oozing with a plate full of cockles on top, you can top up another RM3.00 for it. Yes, all that for only RM8.50!
Food bloggers around the country have noted that the best time for netizens to head over is before 9:30am to prevent disappointment as their dish is notably famous.
For those who don’t like their cockles half cooked and bloody, you can opt for your extra cockles to be fried with the Char Koay Teow for a less bloody and raw finish.
However, trust us, fresh cockles are to DIE for!
