Malaysians have gone through a wave of emotions after hearing that both Najib and Rosmah are guilty.
According to China Press in 1992, the Selangor Sultan awarded Najib with the Datuk title and then in 2004, the Datuk Seri title. In 2005, Rosmah was also awarded for the Datin Paduka Seri title.
Just today (12/9), both Najib’s and Rosmah’s titles have been revoked by the Selangor Sultan effective immediately.
“Both Najib’s and Rosmah’s titles are removed as they were found guilty in the SRC International case late last month”, said Selangor State Secretary, Haris Kasim.
In earlier news, the prison department has debunked a viral WhatsApp message circulating around, mentioning that Najib does not get special treatment and does not live in a house within prison grounds.
