The Selangor state government has rejected claims that it did not take the garbage issue at Batu 18 Hulu Langat garbage that went viral on Twitter seriously.
Selangor caretaker Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari wrote in a post on Twitter that the allegation by the netizen was made at 3 am while garbage is collected every day between 5 am and 8 am.

According to Amirudin, the amount of garbage in the area is high due to the fact that there are many camping sites and resorts in the vicinity.
“KDEBWM (KDEB Waste Management) always implements scheduled collection (at garbage disposal sites) every day,” he said.
In the video initially posted on TikTok, the man in question expressed his frustration over rubbish dumping at Batu 18 Hulu Langat in a video recorded at 3 am.
Through the video, the individual claimed that the state government did not take the issue of waste management seriously and urged them to do better.
The video has since been deleted on TikTok.
