MMA fighters are well known for their self-defense skills so you should know better than to mess with them!
According to NST, a robber in Rio had attempted to steal a young girl’s mobile phone but found out the hard way that it was the wrong thing to do. That’s because the young girl was later identified as a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who goes by the nickname “the Iron Lady“. Seems like this guy had just gotten himself into huge trouble!

On Saturday (January 5), the female MMA fighter was waiting for an Uber outside her apartment block when the crime occurred. The robber informed her that he had a gun with him, however, she believed that it would be “too late” for him to draw it as she would be probably ready to attack him.
Polyana Viana, 27, who is an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight decided to give the robber a taste of his own medicine with two punches, a kick and finally, she held him in a “rear-naked choke”. She also made sure that he was properly trapped and sitting down as she made a police report. We can imagine what will happen next!
Later, she found out that the weapon was a cardboard replica of a pistol. Alamak!

The fearless female MMA fighter posted images of the robber online after being beaten up by her. He looked dejected and bruised with blood on his sleeveless shirt and on another hand. She also said that she kept his arm in a “kimura-like position while waiting for the police to arrive.

After handling him to the police, she went home to prepare dinner. She explained that her hands were hurting a bit the next day but she did not suffer from any serious injuries.
It was definitely a traumatising experience for the robber. However, it serves him right!
