Police have confirmed that a residence belonging to the grandchild of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in Bukit Ledang, Damansara, was recently broken into.
Acting Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan, stated that the estimated loss from the incident is around RM1.8 million, involving stolen jewellery from the victim’s room.

However, he said that the suspect has not yet been identified.
“Further investigations into the incident are ongoing, including reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the residence,” he said when contacted by the media.
It is understood that the incident occurred around 3 pm and was discovered by a domestic helper, who then contacted the victim to inform them that the back gate had been cut and the room had been entered by a thief.
