Accidents, be they minor or major, always come with compensation to fix the damages. But what happens when you’re spared from paying a damage fee that’s almost RM1,000?
In one of his recent Tiktok posts, Farhan, who is from Terengganu showed a minor scratch on his bumper and the damaged left tail light after a motorcyclist hit it.
According to Farhan, the motorcyclist, who appeared to be in his early 40s was wearing a mascot of Mickey Mouse who just came back from work.
Farhan told the man the approximate range for his maintenance fee, to which the latter said he only had RM1 with him at the moment. Both of them exchanged numbers and Farhan immediately told his mother about the incident through WhatsApp, and the mother’s shocking response is probably not what you expect to hear.
“Don’t take even RM1 from him, son”
Farhan shared the voice notes from his mom, who insisted on not taking a penny from the unfortunate motorcyclist. Knowing that the motorcyclist has to earn a living by putting on a mascot, Farhan’s mother was empathetic about it and she was sad by even imagining the man’s fate if he has to pay Farhan damages.
“We don’t know how he’ll come up with the repair costs for your car. If he’s married and have a child, the milk powder alone will cost him a lot,” Farhan’s mother said.
She also said the RM1 banknote that he had on him was probably his main source of income as he has to rely on the mascot to earn a living, and she couldn’t help but wonder about the motorcyclist’s fate if he has to pay Farhan.
“Listen to me, son. Raya is nearing, so take it as a donation to him, okay? Don’t take even RM1 from him.”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Farhan said that he had sent his Volkswagen to the workshop, and the total damage was RM800. Regardless, Farhan assured that as per his mother’s advice, he will not be taking a sen from the motorcyclist.
“When he calls me, I’ll let him know that I’m not taking anything from him,” Farhan told WORLD OF BUZZ.
Since then, many netizens praised Farhan’s mother for being exceptionally generous. You can watch the video below.

It’s definitely rare to see such kindness nowadays, especially when it involves a lot of money. Do you see yourself being this generous if you were in a similar situation?
