Attention local foodies, we have another spot for you to visit and it’s right here in Malaysia!
Known for it’s paragliding and hiking spots, Banting’s Bukit Jugra is every local nature-lover’s favourite destination, but it also has a restaurant many Malaysian foodies flock to.
Restaurant Bukit Jugra is known for their signature Beggar Chicken, and it takes a whole lot of work to prepare!
Apparently, it takes a good 24 hours to prepare this dish, and the process is truly fascinating!
The mouth-watering dish needs to be pre-ordered 24 hours in advance, so it’s really something you need to be patient for.
According to DiscoverKL, marinated raw chicken has to be buried under layers of soil and hot charcoal, where it slowly cooks for 24 hours. So that’s how it gets that deliciously unique taste!
This old school, slow cooking method is definitely worth pre-ordering though. Just look at it and imagine how tender each bite will be!
The restaurant is also known for its equally delicious sticky rice stuffed with mushroom, meat and herbs, along with its Or Chien (fried eggs with oyster).
Wow, everything looks reaaally good!
Here’s their address and opening hours in case you missed it:

We definitely know how we’ll be spending our Raya holidays now!
