2 Malaysian influencers, DMA Islam and Abang Koroy, initially set June 15 (Sunday) for their boxing match at the Merdeka Square in KL during the National Youth Day (HBN) event. Both were ready to “fight”, but it didn’t happen.
The organiser of the event had allegedly cancelled the event at the eleventh hour without specifying a reason.
The cancelled boxing match initially went viral on TikTok, and not long after its cancellation, DMA Islam voiced his dissatisfaction via an Instagram post @dma_islam.

“PMX, please reassign Hannah Yeoh”
Starting his video with a kick to the screen, DMA was baffled as to why his boxing match with Abang Koroy was cancelled, stating that many fans were ready for the show, with some even travelling from Sabah with expensive flight tickets.
DMA also asked if he was banned just because of his controversial take on Mass Comm students.

In his video, DMA also stated his intention to see Hannah Yeoh stepping down from the Ministry by asking the Prime Minister to reassign her to another department.
“Hannah shouldn’t handle this ministry, she doesn’t understand the aspiration of the youth.”
“Maybe reassign her to the logistic department or the sewage pit.”
The Ministry was allegedly unaware of the boxing event
It is understood that the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) was shocked by the boxing event, which had not been officially communicated to them beforehand, as reported by Kosmo.
KBS wanted activities that emphasised character development and positive values among youth, and to them, the boxing match did not match what they had in mind, hence the cancellation.
At the time of writing, KBS has not released a statement on the matter.
