At this year’s digital CES 2021, Razer unveiled the N95 face mask named Project Hazel. Razer claims that this prototype is the world’s smart face mask designed with some key features to ensure the best security and quality.
The prototype is made from recycled plastic with a shiny exterior that is waterproof and scratch-resistant. It is transparent which will ease social interaction by allowing lip-reading and the ability to see facial expressions clearly when chatting with someone.
It is also equipped with VoiceAmp technology where there is a built-in microphone and amplifier to ensure that speech is clearly spoken – even in the mask.
Of course, Razer products are not complete if they don’t come with Chroma RGB LED support. When in the dark, this RGB light will turn on automatically.
Each Project Hazel will include a special charging case that can sterilize face masks with UV light when not in use. However for now, it is still at the concept level and is not yet known when it will be commercialized.
