The man who made headlines for helping to look for the missing MH370 and for protecting Malaysia against any North Korean threats using his non-conventional methods have been detained in Segamat, Johor on Friday morning.

Previously, the police, Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) and Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) announced that they would summon Ibrahim Mat Zin in for questioning about his signature rituals.

According to the Star, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said, “Ibrahim’s acts had brought shame to the country and goes against the tenets of religion.”

He added that the police would not hesitate to use Section 111 of the Criminal Procedure Code if Raja Bomoh did not agree to come in. However, no further news about him have been heard after that, until recently when the police managed to track him down and apprehend him.
