It is no surprise that those from Perikatan Nasional are extremely dissatisfied that things did not go down their way following the results of the 15th General Election.
Apart from anger by their supporters, their leader, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, has also showed no love towards the unity government and the appointment of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the Prime Minister.
In a prime example to show their dissatisfaction, a ‘Black Wave’ protest is allegedly being organised on December 18 and 19 which is right before the day of the vote of confidence by PN supporters.
The protest is calling for those who who disagree with PH and Anwar as its leader, to wear black clothes and change their social media profile pictures to a black background.
The idea is to create a false and dangerous narrative that the majority of people, especially the Malays, do not support the Anwar-led unity Government.
In a video which has been widely circulated on TikTok, the text wrote, “Black Wave #disbelief. Protest by Malaysians against the 10th Prime Minister. Be peaceful and do not disturb public order. It’s not a street protest. It’s a silent protest by doing some things to show that you don’t support the prime minister.”
The same video invited people to join the silent protest, claiming that the ‘Black Wave’ was not illegal because it did not involve issues of religion, race and incitement.
It also said that it does not threaten public order and does not involve street marches.
Still can’t accept the decision?
Although the video has gone viral and has been widely circulated on various social media platforms, it appears that not many people are in support of it, including even PN supporters.
In a number of TikTok videos by PN supporters reacting to the initial video, they said that the protest isn’t the best way to show their dissatisfaction and that it would not produce any real results or solutions.
Some claimed that the best and only way is to turn up in masses for GE16 and vote for PN, which is the only legitimate way to ensure that their coalition of support manages to get into power.
Meanwhile, the video has caught the attention of politicians such as Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) communications chief Khalid Abdul Samad who accused those who are trying to initiate the protest to spin and manipulate the truth.
In a Facebook video reacting to the video, Khalid told them to stop wasting time and that it is merely a tactic by PN to try to spread lies.
Adakah PN masih mahu membohongi rakyat sekali lagi?

What do you think of the protest? Does it even have any merit?
