In PM Muhyiddin’s latest big announcement on Covid-19 that’s now plaguing the nation, he has announced that all government and private offices should be closed. These premises do not include essential services such as water, electricity, energy, telecommunications, postal, transportation, irrigation, oil, gas, fuel, lubricants, broadcasting, finance, banking, health, pharmacy, fire, prison, port, airport, safety, defense, cleaning, retail and food supply.

Prior to the PM’s announcement, public servants have been ordered to work from home as to prevent further spreading of the disease.

Drastic measures need to be taken since our country jumped from 426 to 533 cases in less than 24 hours. With these steps, we hope at least the spreading of Covid-19 can be contained.
