Instant karma!

A dashcam video has been circulating on social media recently, showing a near-crash at an intersection in an undisclosed part of Malaysia due to the dangerous driving of a pickup truck driver.

The video, shared by X user @nanmanjoi8715 was noteworthy for the rather instant karma befalling the pickup truck driver.

After dangerously cutting the queue by turning left at the intersection instead of using the designated lane, the vehicle was instantly stopped by a police traffic officer who was manning the road.

It is unknown where the incident took place but based on the timestamp of the dashcam footage, the video was believed to have been recorded on Monday (9 October) at around 8.10 am.

At the start of the video, the black pickup truck can be seen at the left of the screen at the intersection, but instead of waiting for the lights to turn green and going straight as what the position at the intersection was meant for, the driver instead abruptly entered the intersection and turning left.

The driver almost hit a grey Perodua MyVi while doing so but thankfully, the latter was fast at hitting the brakes and avoided a collision.

As the pickup truck merges into the lane, a police traffic officer appeared and told the driver to stop while reprimanding the dangerous action.

In the X post’s replies, many criticised the pickup truck driver and commanded the police traffic officer’s stern action.

One commenter said that the pickup truck driver deserves to have the vehicle seized for the unsound driving. Besides that, one netizen said that drivers such as this is why he is paranoid about instantly driving when the lights turn green.

Meanwhile, another commenter joked that the driver must’ve said, “Sorry, I didn’t notice you were there” to the Abang Polis after being stopped.

So, what do you guys think of the video? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
