All Malaysians, regardless of religion, are perfectly aware of the significance of Ramadan, which is the fasting month for Muslims.
As such, many of us know how to live together in harmony and celebrate our differences, and these teenagers are definitely a testament to that fact!
This past weekend, a heartwarming and inspiring photo went viral on Facebook. The photo shows a group of Chinese teenagers from Melaka sitting at a restaurant with their food on the table.
However, according to the Facebook user named Mas, who posted the photo, the teens apparently sat at their table without touching their food until the azan prayers started, indicating that Muslims could break their fast for the day.
The kind-hearted teenagers were willing to wait until everyone in the restaurant could eat so they could enjoy their dinner as well. How respectful of them!
Many netizens were understandably moved by the boys’ respectful act, implying that these boys have set a good example for everyone and how they should behave towards each other.
We’ve got to hand it to these boys for setting such a good example. The world would be a much better place if we took a page out of these boys’ books!
Are you inspired to do the same when you dine out this month? 🙂
