The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has launched an investigation after a viral video surfaced showing a police patrol vehicle (MPV) stopping at a mamak restaurant in Sungai Buloh yesterday (6 March).
Sungai Buloh District Police Chief Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor confirmed the incident, saying authorities detected the 12‑second video circulating on social media at about 7:50 PM. The clip shows a police MPV driving along a lane between rows of shop lots before stopping behind a mamak restaurant.

“Based on the footage, a worker from the restaurant approached the MPV and was seen handing two white plastic bags to the driver of the vehicle,” he said in a statement issued last night.
Mohd Hafiz confirmed that the vehicle involved belongs to the Sungai Buloh District Police Headquarters
He said police are currently investigating the matter and stressed that strict action will be taken against any personnel found to have committed misconduct.
“The Sungai Buloh District Police Headquarters will not compromise with any officers or personnel who engage in misconduct that could tarnish the image of the Royal Malaysia Police,” he said.
He also urged the public to refrain from spreading speculation or making unfounded assumptions regarding the incident.

Authorities added that irresponsible speculation could harm the police force’s reputation while the investigation is ongoing.
Earlier, the short video went viral on social media, showing a police MPV driving between shop lots before stopping at a mamak restaurant, where a worker was seen approaching the vehicle and handing over two plastic bags.
The incident is believed to have occurred during the daytime in the month of Ramadan. Stay tuned for more updates.
