PDRM: Fight at Pelita Nasi Kandar Cyberjaya Was Over Unhygienic Practices by The Customer

A video showcasing a chaotic brawl between a Mamak restaurant staff member and 2 customers at a Pelita restaurant in Cyberjaya has been making rounds on social media.

The incident which happened within a few minutes has since garnered millions of views and is currently under investigation of the Sepang District Police.

According to the Sepang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof, the police have arrested 3 suspects in regards to the incident following the victim’s report, who was also the restaurant manager.

“Initial investigation found that one of the suspects, who was drunk, used his fingers to take a side dish. After reprimanding the suspect, he began acting out aggressively by hitting the worker.”

“The worker claims to have faced losses in the form of damaged equipments, contaminated food items,” he said.

The police added that the suspect, each working as a tourist guide and taxi driver, had prior criminal and drug records.

The case will be investigated according to Sections 324, 427 and 506 of the Penal Code.
