PDRM Arrests One of the 3 Drivers Who Blocked an Entire Highway, Reveals That They are Towing Agents

One of the owners of the 3 cars found to have been blocking the southbound road of the North-South Expressway has been arrested by the police.

According to a report by Sinar Harian, the Rembau District Police Chief, Superintendent Hasani Hussain, shared that the suspect, who is in their 50s, was arrested in Seremban at about 12:30am on Wednesday (July 2).

“Based on initial investigations, the suspects are towing agents and acted in such a way (blocking the road) because they wanted to tow a car. They only blocked the road for a short time,”

“One of the owners of the 3 vehicles has been arrested, and we are hunting for the other suspects who are still at large,” he explained.

 

Where it all started

Prior to this, a video had gone viral online, showcasing 3 cars stopped horizontally on the southbound road of the North-South Expressway, causing traffic to come to a halt.

This case is being investigated under Sections 279 and 341 of the Penal Code and Section 48 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
