It’s not surprising that the scheduled appearance of Thai Hot Guys receives criticism, as PAS already issued a statement this morning (March 22) and made it clear that the Thai performers are not welcome here.
PAS Secretary General, Takiyuddin Haji Hassan dubbed the event immoral, insensitive, overboard, and disgusting. In his statement, Takiyuddin urged the Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) to reconsider allowing Thai Hot Guys to perform at Privacy Club in Jalan Tun Razak, KL.
“It’s not only against the culture in Malaysia and insensitive towards the community here, but the event should also not be held during Ramadhan,” Takiyuddin said.
He added that everyone should play their part in making sure that the community is exposed to a hedonistic culture which is damaging. In the meantime, the party also expressed their disappointment in the name of the bar, where the name of the late former Prime Minster, Tun Abdul Razak is used for the bar.
“It’s insensitive, irresponsible, and an insult to the name of the country’s leader.”
Takiyuddin also urged the registration companies to be wiser and more careful when it comes to registering the name of any companies, which some of them failed to take into account the suitability.
No more Thai Hot Guys?
Soon after the announcement of Thai Hot Guys’ performance and PAS’s statement, DBKL was quick to investigate the club. If you’re excited to see Thai Hot Guys in KL, we hate to break it to you that the sexy Thai dancers are not coming here anymore.
This is because DBKL found out that the Privacy Bar in KL does not possess a license for entertainment. In other words, the bar is not allowed to organize any entertainment activities.
Not only that but DBKL also confirmed that the premise, which was registered as a restaurant does not have a valid operating license.
“Their license has expired since February 2021.”
Astro Awani reported that DBKL may take action on the premise if the owner is found violating any rules and regulations.
