PAS Information Chief, Ahmad Fadhli Shaari, is currently receiving flak online after he told Housing and Local Government (KPKT) Minister, Nga Kor Ming, to invite Hindu MPs from DAP to a Hari Raya Korban celebration.
Many took offence to this as Muslims often sacrifice cows during their Hari Raya Korban celebrations while Hindus consider cows sacred.

In a now-deleted Facebook post, the PAS Information Chief brought up how he had asked Nga last year, about his grandfather who was allegedly a soldier. However, according to him, until now, Nga has not given him an answer and he is now apologising cynically for “asking a difficult question”.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, the PAS Information Chief brought up how, in a conversation with the Minister last year, he had asked Nga about his grandfather’s struggles and where he had fought back when he was a soldier. However, according to him, Nga still has not given him an answer so he apologised for “asking a difficult question”.
He wrote, “So, I conclude that my question is difficult to answer. It could be because the data on his grandfather’s struggles was lost during the great battle against the colonialists, or the important details are not kept in this country and are in another country, we are not sure.”
“I apologise to the YB Minister for asking such a difficult question. My apologies for causing trouble to the YB Minister.”
He then took a dig at the KPKT Minister’s controversial Christmas celebration by telling him he should invite Hindu DAP MPs to participate in a KPKT Hari Raya Korban celebration.
“May the YB Minister continue to work well in ensuring that all festivals are celebrated at his ministry,”
“Perhaps during Hari Raya Korban, the Minister can even invite Hindu MPs to attend and make it a merrier event. This is just a suggestion, not an expectation,” he added.
Apologies to Hindu friends
This rubbed many people the wrong way and some even took to social media to condemn his statement.
One netizen took to his X profile to share a screenshot of the now-deleted post while condemning the PAS leader for his words. He wrote, “To my Hindu friends, this is not an example of a real Muslim.”
Another shared, “Reading that last paragraph makes me embarrassed that a Muslim, Malay person wrote it. Did he not feel anything when he was typing those sentences?”
