After almost two decades of business in Suria KLCC, the Parkson group has decided to close their outlet there forever. Oh nuuuu! :'(
An anonymous industry observer told The Star that Suria KLCC is always trying to find ways to mix-up their tenants and they wanted back the lot, which is currently occupied by Parkson.
The person was quoted as saying,
“From what I understand, Parkson did not want to move out and were keen to maintain a presence in Suria KLCC.”
If you didn’t know, the three-level, 126,000 sq ft store first opened in 1998 and it was one of the mall’s earliest tenants. In the present day, Parkson has more than 40 stores all over Malaysia.
However, they closed their Maju Junction outlet in Jalan Sultan Ismail-Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman intersection in 2018 and they also shut down their Sungei Wang Plaza outlet, which had a space of 107,000 sq ft.
Following the closures in Sungei Wang and Maju Junction, Parkson’s spokesperson said it was necessary to close down their stores in order to change their “marketing dynamics”.
Having said that, The Star revealed that Parkson’s representative has yet to comment on the closure of their store in Suria KLCC.
As much as we’re pretty sad that Parkson Suria KLCC is about to close, if you love shopping like us, you’d be pleased to know that they are holding a “moving out sale” until 17 February 2019.
Yep, their “everything must go” sale will apply to all of the products and brands in Parkson Suria KLCC. Time to splurge!

Well, it’s definitely sad to see Parkson go, especially since they have been operating there for 20 years but let’s enjoy their sale for one last time before they leave Suria KLCC for good. Speaking of which, don’t forget to share this article with those you think would love a good sale. 😉
To Parkson Suria KLCC, adieu!
