While it may have been reported that the Pakatan Harapan government has been dissolved and various factions within the coalition have splintered off to form their own independent parties, supporters of the previous, short-lived governing party may have reason to rejoice, according to a report from The Edge.
In a post that was just uploaded to Pakatan Harapan’s official Facebook page, it was announced that the coalition has decided to remain intact after a meeting was held last night (25th February 2020) at Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) headquarters.
However, this comes after the announcement two days ago that Bersatu, once part of Pakatan Harapan, will be leaving the coalition. It has also been reported by the New Straits Times that interim Prime Minister and Bersatu Chairman Tun Mahathir had stepped down from his position as Bersatu’s head honcho after a heated meeting with Bersatu members.
